Rardon, Constance P.

Tuesday, February 07, 2012

Constance Patricia Dunn Rardon, 60, of Chester, Va., passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 4, 2012, in her home. She was the wife of James D. Rardon.
Connie was born on Sept. 28, 1951, in Syracuse, N.Y. She was a 1969 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to moving to Virginia, she was employed by Ed Shults Chevrolet for many years, and while living in Virginia, she worked at Arlington Toyota as the warranty administrator. In recent years, she enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom to their beloved dog, Lucille Marie. She enjoyed spending time with her husband on their boat. She was an avid reader, enjoyed watching the Food Network and cooking with her husband.
She will be remembered for her strength as well as her unselfish and giving nature, always putting her family first. She had an amazing devotion to those she loved. She was the shoulder to cry on and always there to listen, offering kind words or just lending an ear when someone needed it.
Connie is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Jim; her daughters: Leslie Lobb of Jamestown, and Kelly Shockey of Tappahannock, Va.; a step-daughter, Haley (Tim) Hicks of Silverdale, Wash.; grandchildren: Jessica (Rich) Grey of Frewsburg, David Lobb of Jamestown, Tyler and Alyson Shockey of Tappahannock, Va., and Timmy and Harper Hicks of Silverdale, Wash.; and her great-granddaughter and lovebug, Olivia Grey of Frewsburg. She is also survived by sisters: Cynthia (Guy) Hausmann and Janice (Joseph) Koskie; and a brother, John (Marsha) Dunn.
Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Blanche Moss; and her aunt, Lois Zipf.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Chester Va. A funeral service will immediately follow.
