Williamson, Charles E.

Charles Elroy Williamson, 83, of Hopewell died Thursday, August 26, 2010 in Medical College of Virginia Hospital in Richmond, VA. Mr. Williamson was born in Hopewell and had been a lifelong resident. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Ft. Lee where he worked as a supervisor in Field Printing . Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his parents, William K. and Geneva Mae Stevens Williamson and a brother James Williamson. He is survived by his wife, Marion A. Williamson of Hopewell, a daughter, Brenda W. Melvin and her husband Ken of Hopewell, a son, Charles Bruce Williamson of Enon, five grandchildren, C. J. Williamson, Jared Melvin, Niki Williamson, Jonathan Melvin and Sarah Williamson, one great grandchild, Charles Luke Williamson, three brothers, Harold Williamson, William Williamson and his wife Connie, and Norman Williamson all of Hopewell. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 6:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with the Rev. Mike Buckley pastor of Crosslight Assembly of God officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to The Shepherds Place, 263 Kennon Pointe, Colonial Heights, VA., 23834. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com
