Corrigan, Mildred "Millie" E.

Mildred “Millie” Eubank Corrigan of Petersburg, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 while enjoying one of her favorite passions… working in her yard. Millie was born on September 8, 1941 to the late Leonard and Nellie Pearl Eubank. She was predeceased by her youngest son, Thomas Henry Corrigan; three sisters, Grace Carter, Margaret Floyd, Lorraine Jones and two brothers, Hunky and Jimmy Eubank. She is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence H. Corrigan of Petersburg and her sister, Bessie Burma Harrison of Sutherland. She is also survived by her sons, Larry Dean (wife Diane) of Colonial Heights and Pete (wife Angie) of Disputanta along with her three dear grandchildren: Jonathan, Candice and Elizabeth Corrigan. Millie also leaves behind many close family members to include sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and her beloved pets. Millie worked for many years as the Banquet Coordinator at Jordan Point Country Club in Hopewell. She was currently employed at Prince George High School where she worked in the cafeteria. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 3-5-PM at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. Flowers are welcome, but donations to the SPCA of Petersburg-Colonial Heights P.O. How fitting that we should hear about Millie's passing while we were eating at Jordan Point on Friday night.We wish you well as you deal with your loss and know you'll have some comfort from all the well wishes and good memories.

We are so very sorry to hear of Millie's passing. She was such a kind and giving person. We wish we were able to attend her funeral.

Millie was very sweet person and great friend hard working good mother and wife and grandmother She will be nissed by many whos life she touched Love you millie .To the family accept my deepest simpathy and may God give You strenght thorugh this tough times

You were the closest person to wonder woman we have ever met in our lifetime, just like a mother to our family. You spent your life putting others before yourself and you will be greatly missed. Our condolences to the Corrigan family, may God watch over all of you through this difficult period.
