Norris, Iva W.Saturday, March 27, 2010
Iva Wade Norris, 74, of Hopewell, passed away Saturday March 27, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband William Bentley “Monk” Norris & her parents Howard & Nora Wade. She was the former owner operator of Norris & Son Grocery in Hopewell for over 30 years and a former production operator at the former Allied Signal for 10 years. She is survived by her daughters: Sallie N. Lewis of Prince George, Melody N. Bennett of Hopewell, son: Paul Bentley Norris & wife Connie of Hopewell, grandchildren: Steven Douglas Bennett, Jr., of Hopewell, Alisha Elane Bennett, of Ettrick, Paul Nicholas “Nick” Norris, Jesse Daniel Norris, Charles Bentley Norris, all of Hopewell, great grandchildren: Vladimir Bennett, Aleena Griffin, William Benjamin Bentley Griffin all of Ettrick, brother: Horace G. Wade of Hopewell, numerous nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday March 30, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be Wednesday March 31, 11:00 AM at The Church of Christ in Hopewell with Pastor Mural Worthy officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia.
