Mrs. Elsie Sabol Voda, 78, of Prince George, died Monday, March 22, 2010 in Hopewell Healthcare. She was a life-long resident of Prince George County and was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church. Mrs. Voda was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Ella Nemetz Sabol and her husband, Ernest Milton Voda. Surviving are her two sisters, Dorothy S. McLeod and Mary Petik both of Prince George, her nephews, Stephen McLeod and wife Mary, John Petik, Jr. and Andrew Petik and wife Kathy, a devoted niece, Patsy Cleveland and husband , Robert all of Prince George . The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Voss, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church, officiating. I have known Elsie since High School days. We graduated at the same time in 1949. I remember Elsie as a very pleasant, sincere person. I am sorry to hear of her passing. I only found out late tonight (3/24/2010). I have made plans to be with my daughter in Mechanicsville at 10:00 a.m. on the 25th. So sorry I cannot attend the funeral.
