Wilcher, Rickey

Mr. Rickey Wilcher, age 58, of Chester, VA, died on Friday, March 5, 2010. He was born in McMinnville, TN, the son of the late Howard V. and Hattie Ogle Wilcher. Mr. Wilcher was a retired SFC with the U. S. Army. He is predeceased by his daughter, Casey Noelle Turner; and brothers Paul and James Wilcher. He is survived by his loving Fiance, Ellen S. Childrey, and her daughter, Tonya; a daughter, Wendi Priest; brother, Darell Wilcher and wife, Kathy; sisters, Betty Faulk and husband Ronnie; Joyce Whiteaker, Wanda Richey and husband, Bill, and Debbie Center and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Katelyn Wilcher, Nickolas Priest, Chelsea Paschal, and Ryan Turner; a nephew, Zachary; and other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. Ellen, my condolences are extended to you, Tonya and Rickey's family. You were such a loving & dedicated servant to Rickey during his battle of many health issues. You were more than a faithful companion. I am sorry that I found out late about the service but I hope to go to Arlington in the next month to be supportive for you and the family.

I was saddened to read of Ricky's passing in the paper. You and the rest of his family have my deepest condolences. Ricky was always a great guy to work with and I know that he will be missed.
