Caudill, Allard C.

Mr. Allard C. Caudill, age 71, of Chester, VA, died on Saturday, March 06, 2010. He was born in Knott County, KY, the son of the late Earl and Minnie Sawyer Caudill. Mr. Caudill was also preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Lund and a brother, Lester L. Caudill, Sr. He was retired from Allied, after 32 years of service. Mr. Caudill was an avid gardener, outdoorsman, card player, and loved shopping for cars. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren, doing things like taking them fishing, and cooking breakfast for them. In their opinion, he made the best pancakes and eggs ever. Mr. Caudill is survived by his loving wife, Mamie M. Caudill; four children, Wayne Martin and wife, Nancy of Concord, VA, Rodney Martin and wife, Nada, Kirk Caudill, and Karen Caudill all of Chester; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Pal Mira Caudill and husband, Hansel of Dinwiddie, VA; a sister-in-law, Junetta Caudill of Hopewell, VA; and several other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, March 10, at 1 p.m. with interment following in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
