Whorley, Carlton D.

Carlton David Whorley, 62, of Blackstone died on Monday, December 28, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank P. and Estelle Williams Whorley; brother, Melvin Ray Whorley; brother-in-law, Eddie C. Walker and a nephew, Kenneth D. Stainback. Carlton served his country in the U.S. Navy which included two tours in Vietnam. He is survived by his brother, Richard Marvin Whorley (Bodge); sisters, Marjorie W. Walker, Grace W. Wilson (Jerry), and Nancy W. Wright (Johnnie); nieces and nephews, Jamie Merhout, Tracy Len Stainback, C. Ray Whorley, Jeanie Martin, Crystal Mohn, Melissa Durham, Julie Wilson, Joy Ramey, Brandi Reese and Bre-Ann Barkman and a host of great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from 7 to 8:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
