Cabaniss, Margaret R.Sunday, December 20, 2009
Margaret Rowland Cabaniss, 82 of Dinwiddie Co., passed away Sunday, December 20, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Leland B. and Laura Davis Rowland. She is survived by her husband, John Cabaniss; one son, John Cabaniss, Jr. and wife, Patsy; two daughters, Linda Esquibel and Darlene Wehren and husband, Fred; three sisters, Rebecca Wilkerson, Barbara Thomason and Mary Watson; four brothers, Leland Rowland, Jr., Frank Rowland, John Rowland and Larry Rowland; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Western Heights Baptist Church with an entombment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Tuesday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Western Heights Baptist Church/Lottie Moon Fund, 24416 Cox Road, Petersburg, VA 23803. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com. Johnny, Linda and Darlene, I am so sorry to learn of your mother's death. I remember her as a warm and wonderful person, who embraced every person crossing her threshold as if they were her lifelong friends. I extend my deepest sympathies for your loss.
