Condolences

We spent many summers at Scotland Wharf-transplants from Petersburg. Julian has always been a special friend and was always a wealth of information for anything you needed to know. Always caring about the family. Ruby & Turner--you did a great job. We will miss you, Dear Friend. Rest in Peace. Love, Ronnie & Julie

Julian shared not only his friendship with us, but also devoted numerous long days and late evenings working with Jim at softball tournaments in Virginia for many years. The time and assistance Julian so freely offered was indicative of his kind and generous spirit. He will be greatly missed.

Julian was truly one of a kind - and the dearest soul. He truly loved and cared for those who were lucky enough to be his friend. And he made the BEST fig jam from the trees in his yard! What a treasure he was and what a privilege to have known him.

I spent my summers at Scotland Wharf playing Ping Pong with Julian in the Store. We became close friends and often shared memories and laughter regarding our younger years growing up at Scotland. Our family will miss Julian's visits to us at our summer home across from him and also seeing him sitting on his front porch as we waved to one another. Scotland will never be the same for me without Julian!

Julian was definitely "one of a kind" and will always hold a very special place in our hearts. We had some great times together at Lee Park before, during, and after softball tournaments. Julian had a heart of gold, and we miss him tremendously.

With love,
