Pallay, Victor P.

Victor Paul Pallay, 87, of Colonial Heights, VA, died November 30, 2009. He was the son of the late John and Anna Pallay and husband of the late Louise Pallay. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a member and past commander of American Legion Post 182 in Columbus, OH. Mr. Pallay retired from PRR/Conrail after 44 years of service. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights, VA and a former member of East Linden United Methodist Church in Columbus, OH. Mr. Pallay was preceded in death by his brothers and sister. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Henderson and husband, Ed; son, Joe Pallay; grandchildren, Amy Ernst and husband, Matt, James J. Henderson and wife, Brooke, and Katie M. Henderson; great-grandchildren, Tyler Samuel Ernst, Anna Elizabeth Ernst, and Andrew Dylan Ernst; sisters-in-law, Rose Pallay and Mary Jane Pallay; brother-in-law, James Hart and wife Lucy; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3rd at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, December 5th at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Colonial Heights Fire and EMS, P. O. Box 3401, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Vic on November 30th. We did not hear of his loss until attending Church on Sunday December 6th. Our condolences to Vickie and the rest of the family.

I had worked with Vic @ PRR & Conrail. Sorry to hear of his passing. A friendly & good co-worker.

We are so sorry to hear of the death of your father. Mr. Pallay was a very kind and funny man - always full of jokes and stories. He will be missed by many at Wesley UMC. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
