Pallay, Victor P.

Victor Paul Pallay, 87, of Colonial Heights, VA, died November 30, 2009. He was the son of the late John and Anna Pallay and husband of the late Louise Pallay. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a member and past commander of American Legion Post 182 in Columbus, OH. Mr. Pallay retired from PRR/Conrail after 44 years of service. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights, VA and a former member of East Linden United Methodist Church in Columbus, OH. Mr. Pallay was preceded in death by his brothers and sister. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Henderson and husband, Ed; son, Joe Pallay; grandchildren, Amy Ernst and husband, Matt, James J. Henderson and wife, Brooke, and Katie M. Henderson; great-grandchildren, Tyler Samuel Ernst, Anna Elizabeth Ernst, and Andrew Dylan Ernst; sisters-in-law, Rose Pallay and Mary Jane Pallay; brother-in-law, James Hart and wife Lucy; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3rd at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, December 5th at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH with interment to follow.
