Young, Nola M.Tuesday, November 24, 2009
Nola Mae “Tippy” Young, 88, of Petersburg, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Alphonse Adolph and Margaret O’Donnell Bourgeois. She was the widow of Matthew Young. She is survived by her daughter, Monica Giusto and husband, Thomas; three grandchildren, Marcy Campbell and husband, Scott, Michele Logue and husband, Scott, Melissa Tyrcha and husband, Johnathan; five great-grandchildren, Samantha Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Madison Campbell, Morgan Logue and John Tyrcha; sister, Helen Laney; numerous nephews, nieces and other loving relatives. A Mass of Resurrection will be held 12:00 noon Friday, November 27, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prince George Co., VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 5001 W. Dear Monica, Tom, Marcy, Michelle, Melissa & all, Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We'll have Masees said for your mom here, one as soon as it can be scheuled and one on May 13 for sure. It will seem strange not to get her phone calls. We'll plan on being in St. Anne this summer for her Mass there. Monica, Tom & family, Monica, You're in my thoughts and prayers!! I'm going to miss your Mom's phone calls at work!! She was a hoot and I always enjoyed our "visits"!! It's comforting to know she went peacefully!! I'll see you at the Mass and burial in St. Anne in the Spring!! I'm going to miss my Godmother and favorite aunt!! She was very special!!! Love ya, Dear Monica and family, I just read about your mom's passing. I was very sorry to read that.
