Green, Earl James

Earl James Green, age 72, of Chester, Virginia passed away Friday, November 20, 2009. Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, he was the son of the late John William and Margaretta Ash Green. Mr. Green was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp. He retired from Allstate prior to his career as a self-employed realtor. He was a devoted member and Past Master of the Joppa Lodge No. 40 A.F. & A.M. and a member of ACCA Temple. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara W. Green; brothers, John Charles “Chuck” Green, Robert Wayne Green, Donald Wesley Green, and Douglas Richard Green; seven nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Fawn. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 22nd at the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
