Jones, Patricia S.

Patricia St. George Jones, 86, of Petersburg, VA, passed away peacefully November 16, 2009 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Pattie St. George of Essex Fells, NJ; sister, Madeline Carroll of West Palm Beach, FL; and son, David Jones of Bristol, TN. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard L. Jones; son, Mark St. G. Jones and wife, Marla of Richmond; daughter, Virginia G. Hickman and husband, Sean of Chislehurst, Kent, England; daughter, Pattie L. Metz and husband, Blair, and their children, Sterling and Meredith of Alpharetta, GA; brother, Dr. David St. George and wife, Judith of Old Lyme, CT; and several nieces and nephews. Pat was a graduate of Flower & Fifth Avenue Hospital Nursing School and was active in the community including, the Petersburg Area Art League, Poplar Lawn Garden Club and a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and later became a member of Christ and Grace Episcopal Church where she served on the Alter Guild and the Ten O’clock Circle. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20th at Christ and Grace Episcopal Church. Interment will be private in the Church Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
