Dear Craig and Jeff, So sorry we couldn't attend your wonderful mother's services today. Andy and I have great memories of your family. Of course, back on Chamberlayne Avenue your family was just the four of you, Jackie, Richard, Craig and Jeff, but we weren't surprised when after a little stint in Florida you folks returned to Virginia and the family increased. Jackie was special in the way she was able to "mother" so many people.
Her quiet confidence in parenting was a rock I leaned on a couple of times during Winkie's first year. Both Jackie and Richard were special friends to us when we were a young couple starting out on this great adventure called marriage and parenting, we have such great memories of them.
Your mom was a truly modern woman in the 70's, handling building the cleaning business on Route 1 with your dad and raising you two boys with grace. Sometimes staying up so very late to play cards with the couple up the street who kept weird hours. She had the gift of hospitality in a very true sense. Jackie always had unassuming and practical advice for me as well as the ability to make me laugh with her. She was the dear friend of our youth whose friendship, though separated by time and distance, has been constant. A rare thing and such a blessing.
May God bless you all with wonderful memories of Jackie. I am confident that His love and the love you share for her and with each other will sustain all of you. Joan Blanton
To my aunt Jackadee,
You have always and always will be someone I aspire to be. I love and miss you! Please don't worry about mom, I am here for her.

This will be hard for "ME AND THE WHOLE ENTIRE FAMILY"!!! For me because I just lost in the past 2 years my three Grandmothers that were all special in their own ways to me and my family. Jacqulyn who I have only known for about six years seems like a lifetime of nothing but good memories of you nothing ever bad execpt for you telling me not to help you with things that I knew you needed help with, because you thought you were being a burden on us !!!! But you know and I know that was not the case.
I LOVED spending every moment of those 6 years with you even if it was just me going to WAL-MART for you. My love for YOU is that of my own MOTHER'S !!!! You were a special person too alot of people, and changed alot of kids lives for the good that I do know, you are my "AMERICAN IDOL" not in a singing sense, but in a value of morals and respect for people. I'am always proud to call you my mother in law because of that!!!
I promise you that I will try and stay strong for the family and if they ever need me for anything I'am there!!! Justin and Toby will always have a father figure in their lives as long as I'am alive, and I will do my best to guide them in the right direction that you would want them too go into, this was my promise to you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU, NEVER FORGET YOU......
YOUR, SON IN LAW ROBBIE HERMAN.

My thoughts and prayers are with all who had the good fortune to have known Jackie Dickey. A woman that was the matriarch of an extended family that had nothing but love and kindness to share with all who engaged her. Personally my time shared with her and the Dickey family is full of treasured memories that I will carry with me forever. You were a guiding light for so many and Heaven just got brighter with your addition. Thanks for your love, Jackie. I'll miss you deeply. My condolences to all members of the Dickey family.
As my wife of 50 something years, my one and only love since we were 16, you are my one and only true love. As we raised William, Jeff, Richard, and our baby girl Melissa, and our foster kids, (Rick) and our grandchildren, Justin, Margaret, Toby, Jordan, Jacob, Julia, Courtney, Thomas, Marshall, Joey, and dont forget Frank.
I hope to be with you again some day, after my purpose in life has been fulfilled. Sweet dreams, my one and only. I'll be with you again someday.
I love you for now, and eternity, your husband, Richard Carl Dickey.
Jeff, Barbie and family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. I will be honored to attend the memorial service to celebrate the life of this devoted, caring, fun loving woman who gave so very much to so many in need. It's comforting to know that a warm and true spirit such as hers was part of our lives; for this we have been truly blessed.
Grandma i'm just here to let you know I love you and even though i'm not actually family, you have treated me like a grandson for these past 6 years. It felt great to a part of the family since my family is so far away. You are a kind person and a saint in my book. You are loved by all and will continue to be loved for years to come. I am thankful to have met and to have received your kindness. I love you and some day when I pass we will sit in heaven and eat some crispy creme doughnuts together.
Things will be rough, But i will continue to go on strong for you, and for my family, Grandma. I hope you are in a better place now, always watching over us. Thank you for being there these long 20 years for me, giving me the childhood & life that most children and teens could never dream of.
I love you Grandma, and always will. I promise to take care of my family, and grandpa for you.
Mom, i will miss you so much. And I love you with all my heart.
