Beazley, Phyllis D.

Phyllis Daniels Beazley, life long resident of Chester, died on Sunday, November 15, 2009. She was the first in her family to attend college, graduating from Longwood College. She taught school in Alexandria, VA, and at Enon Elementary. Phyllis was a life long member of Chester United Methodist Church, serving on the Alter Guild. She was fortunate to travel most of Europe, Central America, Alaska, and the Caribbean. Phyllis enjoyed needle work, reading, playing bridge, and loved little children. Her circle of friends was very dear to her. She is survived by her husband, L. Hunter Beazley, Jr.; her son, Cameron H. Beazley; niece and nephew, Kathryn D. Smith and James V. Daniels, whom she raised. Also surviving are her brothers, Mack T. Daniels and G. R. Daniels; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, whom she considered her grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Chester United Methodist Church, 12132 Percival St. Chester, VA 23831. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, with a reception afterward at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Chester United Methodist Church.
