Ard, Stephen C.Friday, November 13, 2009
Stephen Clyde Ard, age 59, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2009 at John Randolph Medical Center. He was born in Hopewell, July 7, 1950, the son of Ozell Ard, Sr. of Hopewell, and the late Louise Mason Ard. He is also survived by four sisters, Ruth Alford of Myrtle Beach, SC, Carolyn Williams and husband, Paul of Arden, NC, Jean Bennett of New Martinsville, WV, and Norma Jessup and husband, Haywood of Dinwiddie, VA; two brothers, Ozell Ard, Jr. of Charles City, VA, and Robert Ard of Hopewell, VA; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. with burial following in Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell.
