William Michael “Mike” Bovinette, 35, died Thursday, October 22, 2009. He was born in Petersburg and was a resident of Disputanta.. He is survived by his wife, Cris Leyva Bovinette, three daughters, Julia, Kristen, and Kaylin Bovinette, all of Disputanta, two step-sons Ricky Hernandez, and wife Genevie, of Hondo, TX, and Ryan Hernandez and wife, Jayne, of Jacksonville, NC. three grandchildren Rylie, Raelyn, and Reanne Hernandez of Hondo, TX , his parents, William Bovinette of Chesapeake and Luanne Hawkins Ryan of Disputanta, his grandmother, Chris Helen Bovinette of Chesapeake, numerous family by marriage and an awesome, powerful church family. They all love him dearly. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at 2 p.m. in Southlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Thurman Collier, pastor of South Hopewell Church of God, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Condolences may registered with www. jtmorriss.com

I heard about Mike's death from a patient @ work today & still cannot believe it is true. Words cannot begin to express my sorrow & sympathy for you all. Cris...I am sorry for your great loss. We will miss Mike so very much at the South Hopewell Church of God. Your family is truly loved by the church. I will always remember his great smile. I hope that you will always remember the good times you guys had and all the wonderful memories you made together. Prayers are going up daily for you and your family!

My thoughts and prayers go out to you in this time of grief. I worked with Mike at Ace Hardware and he was a pleasure to work with and he will be sadly missed. May God be with the entire Bovinette family. Linda Frazier
