Dear Bonnie, Mary Kay and family,

Wallace and I are so sorry for your loss. Our heartfelt sympathy to you.
Mack was such a good friend and we will surely miss him.
Years ago when we had the Tastee Freeze ice cream store in Ettrick we could always look for Mack to come by to see us and he always asked for a big glass of the mix that was used to make the Tastee Freeze. He liked it better as a drink rather than soft serve ice cream.
We will miss him calling on our birthdays and wishing us a Happy Birthday. He had an amazing memory being able to remember birthdays without a reminder.
May God bless you and your family and comfort you in this trying time. When your heart feels empty fill it was happy memories.
Lovingly, Vermadel and Wallace

Bonnie, Mary Kay, Bookie, Brent and Cory,
Aunt June just informed me of this sad news. What memories I have of such a nice man, known for his kindnesses and sense of humor. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed. I can't drive down Chesterfield Avenue without looking at his house. May these memories of Mr. Mack and Miss Margaret comfort you in the days ahead. There will always be a hole in your heart but what stories we have to tell and remember! Turn to your faith for strength and God will lead you. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Take each day for what it is--a present.

I last saw Mack about a week ago. Even though his health had experienced a sudden sharp decline he was able to sit up in bed and enjoy a treat with me. I am so grateful for that time with him. He was a genuinely sweet and caring man who had enough love for everyone and a charming sense of humor to go along with it. I'll miss him.

What a man. Mack taught us much about life that is a part of us today. We are thankful that this is not the end for the faithful in Christ, and we will see he and Miss Margaret again. Love to all the family.

Mr. Mack,
I remember you from my Ettrick days. I remember Ms. Margaret guiding us across the street to Ettrick Elem. I will miss hearing stories about you from Mama.

After many years of friendship and devotion to one so dear, it is really hard to give them up. I'm so thankful for the many happy memories I have. I'm so glad I got to see him a few weeks ago. May each of you look to God for comfort and strength at this time. I wish I could be there with you during this time, but you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Alma Baird
