Jones, Norma Jean

Norma Jean Jones, 53, of Waverly, died Saturday, June 6, 2009. Born August 21, 1955 in Suffolk, she was the daughter of Fred C. and Phyllis Uzzell Jones.
Norma graduated from Sussex Central High School in 1973 and attend Faith Baptist Church in Waverly. She was a cashier at King’s Barbeque in Petersburg for 12 years.
She is also survived by her sisters, Theresa Lynn Bailey and her husband Arnie of Disputanta, Marie Inman and her husband David of Williamsburg; her nieces and nephews, William Hipes, Michael Smith, Laura Ann Krumm and Mindy Gentry, and a great niece, Allison Ritley. She was predeceased by her son, Micky Jones; and brother Fred Earl Jones.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield with Rev. Lewis Lawson and Raleigh Nunnally officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Swamp Cemetery in Ivor. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
