Josey, Paul C. Sr.

Paul Calvin Josey, Sr., 86. of Hopewell, died Monday, March 30, 2009, at his residence. He was born in Prince Edward County, Virginia, and was preceded in death by his parents, P. A. and Bertha Sapp Josey. Mr. Josey, a retired carpenter with Allied-Signal Corporation, served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Living Word World Outreach Church in Colonial Heights and VFW Post 637. He is survived by his wife, Vera Hardy Josey, two sons, Paul C. Josey, Jr. of Florida and Nathan W. Josey, of Chester, VA, a stepson Clarence Elliott Wilson, Jr. of Colbert, GA., two stepdaughters Verna Frances Hock and husband, Dennis of Hopewell and Carol Jane Owens and husband, Clifford of Warrior, AL. three grandsons Dennis Neal Hock, Jr., Jonathan E. Hock and Bill Owens, Jr.; two great-grandchildren Chiara Hock and Dennis Neal “Tripp” Hock, III.. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home . A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia.
