Phillip Franklin Crumpler, Jr., 73, of Prince George, passed away Friday, March 27, 2009. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Phillip Franklin and Edith Trimyer Crumpler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Sheek and a brother, John Trimyer. He is survived by his wife, Alice W. Crumpler; daughters, Tamra C. Ferrell and husband, Bobby of Prince George and Kimbra C. Allen of Chester; step-children, Sharon I. Russell of Petersburg and James A. Ivey of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, Erin Ferrell, Ryan Allen, Niki Stancil and Kori Chandler; seven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Crumpler Belangia; numerous nieces and nephews; devoted friends, Laura and Dennis LeBlanc and “George”; and his special companion, Boo. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 1, at Blandford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas Palliative Care Fund c/o Massey Cancer Center, P. O. Alice and family, All my love and prayers go out to you at this difficult time. It is never easy letting go, even when we know the suffering is over. We know he is in a better place with a brand new whole body, free from pain. The memories you have will get you through the difficult days ahead. I will be praying for all of you. Lean on the Lord for comfort. I love all of you. If I can do anything, just let me know.

So sorry to hear of Frankie's death. Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Take comfort that he is no longer suffering, he has no more pain, he is whole again, safe in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior.
