Williams, Raymond A.

Raymond Arnold Williams, 75, of Ford, VA, died Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. He was a native of Dinwiddie County, and was the son of the late William A. and Ruby Chappell Williams. He was a retired self-employed businessman in Ford, VA and a member of First Baptist Church in Petersburg. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Shirley C. Williams; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly W. and Douglas E. Wootton of Burkeville, VA; a son, Richard A. Williams of Ford; a sister, Margaret W. Hitchcock of Stony Creek; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Monday, March 2, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, at Blandford Cemetery with Rev. George Whipple officiating.
