Susie Spiers Davis, 87, of Dinwiddie County, passed away Tuesday February 10, 2009. She was the last of 9 Children and was predeceased by her parents Benjamin F. Spiers, Sr. and Lucy L. Spiers, and her husband Linwood “Lin” Davis, Sr. Mrs. Davis was retired from Titmus Optical Shop where she was employed as a frame bender, was a former member of Newville Baptist Church in Sussex, Virginia, currently was a member of 2nd Presbyterian Church in Petersburg.. She is survived by her loving son Linwood “Lin” Davis, Jr. of Dinwiddie County. A graveside service will be held in the Southlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum on Birdsong Road in Prince George County Friday February 13, at 11:00 AM., with Dr. Daniel Hale of 2nd Presbyterian Church officiating, entombment will follow. Please do not send flowers per request of the family however contributions may be made to the Namozine Volunteer Fire Department or Hospice of Virginia.
