Joy,
It's been a long time since we've seen each other but when I heard about your dad I wanted you to know I was thinking of you. I have many great memories of staying over at your house and going to the river with you and your family. May God bless you and your family and give you comfort during this time.

Love,
Faye

Dear Gail,

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

I remember so fondly meeting Bud when we came to Uncle John's funeral. I often think about that time and how special it was in spite of the fact that it was initiated by such a terribly sad event.

I often tell friends about going down to the docks with Bud and watching as he masterfully looked over all the shrimp, selecting the perfect ones, and then negotiating a deal. And then going back to the deck behind the house Uncle Russ stayed in and cleaning the shrimp, boiling them up, cooking hush puppies, and the feast and fellowship that followed. That experience, Bud, you, and the rest of the family that was gathered there will live in my heart and memory forever.

I pray that the Lord's peace and comfort will be with you today, for the days ahead, and forever.

With all our love, Les and Sandy

Dear Gail and Family,
We are so sorry to hear that Bud passed on. He will be healed now that he is in Heaven with our Savior. We will always remember Bud, he was such a good person. We truly loved him.
GOD'S PROMISE
God didn't promise days
without pain,
laughter without sorrow
or sun without rain.
But God did promise
strength for the day,
comfort for tears and
light for the way.
And for all who believe in
His kingdom of love,
He answers their faith
with peace from above.

Dear Gail and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. Bud will always have a special place in our hearts...he was a unique person who touched many lives and was loved by all. I think the following poems sums it all up. --
Lots of Love,
Lucy and John

I'M FREE!
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God laid for me,
I took His hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;
Don’t lengthen it with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now. He set me free.
