Wanda Lee Dates, age 60, of Chester, VA, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009. She was born in Grandview, WV, the daughter of the late Harold L. Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband, William C. Dates; mother, Nelda Johnson; daughter, Jaimie Bennett; granddaughter, Gracie Howard; sisters, Doris Luck and husband, Paul, and Nancy Johnson, and husband, Matthew Harrah; nieces, Jessica Robertson, Jennifer Bennett, and Kimberly Starr; two grand-nieces; and a grand-nephew, Cody Bennett. A memorial celebration of Mrs. Dates’s life will be held in the Life Church at 16801 Harrowgate Rd. Chester, VA 23831 on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of Richmond. I am so very sorry to learn of the passing of Wanda, your life's companion. Please accept my condolence and prayers for Wanda, Bill and the Dates Family. We first met in the LOGCEN when I worked for Milton Fogel back in 1983-1986. Christ's Peace.

Wendy, I will miss you so much. I will remember all the good times that we had together. I know that you are with Johnnie and Joan and all the other that has passed before you. I didn't want to lose you, but I know in my heart that you are happy where you are now. You will always be in my heart and my thoughts every day. I love and miss you.
