Mrs. Josephine H. Hall of Petersburg, VA passed away on October 23, 2008 at the Southside Regional Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was born in Petersburg, Virginia to the late Joseph E. Hathaway and Pearl A. Hathaway. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Carl Walker Hall, Sr.; two sisters, May H. Gailey and Ruth A. Stewart. She is survived by two children, daughter Betty Jo Hall Townsend and husband, Charles of Colonial Heights, Virginia and son, Carl Walker Hall, Jr. and wife, Chris Perez of Prince George, Virginia; two granddaughters, Natascha and Victoria Hall; a niece, Nancy Gailey Heuser of Colonial Heights, Virginia and a nephew, Robert E. Stewart of Petersburg, Virginia. Mrs. Hall was a retired quality control inspector with Titmus Optical Company. She was a member of the Walnut Hill Baptist Church, Petersburg, Virginia. She was a loving mother, grandmother and good friend to many of her extended family members. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, October 27, 2008 at Blandford Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Queen, Pastor of the Walnut Hill Baptist Church officiating. The Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family. We are so sorry to hear that Oma Hall has passed on. We have many fond memories of her. She was a true Southern lady and we will miss her.
