Condolences

Jerri, words cannot describe the love I felt for you, both professionally and personally. Our friendship began in 1995 when I joined DDSP while in uniform. Later on you took me under your wing and made me your deputy where you took great care in training and mentoring me. Over the years we have stayed in touch and shared many experiences that I will forever carry in my heart and life. I was devastated to learn of this world's loss. I just missed your birthday, but wanted to make sure you and your family know that I have prayed for you all and thank you for sharing your life with me. May God always bless and keep you and yours.

Love nick

Simply stated, Jerri was special; the kind of caring individual and leader one rarely encounters in a lifetime. I worked with her while she was still at Mechanicsburg. On every visit or call she made me feel special (I wasn't)and I've never forgotten that. Knowing Jerri, she's already organizing some kind of heavenly support group. May her family find comfort in the knowledge she touched many with her approach to life and what was really important.

I was very sadded to hear about Jerri having cancer. I worked with her at the New Cumberland Depot in PA. I was her secretary for about 2 years. She was such a special person to work for. She was very caring and a loving person and friend. She always talked about Stephanie and Nikki. She was very proud of her daughters.
She will be missed and I pray that God blesses your family and she is with God and will never have pain again. I will keep both of your families in my prayers.

I first met Jerri in the mid-80's when we were employed by HQDESCOM, Letterkenny AD, Chambersburg, PA. She was a true friend--kind, funny, smart, just a wonderful lady--I really loved her. I visited her home when she lived a few blocks from me in Chambersburg. We lost touch when she left the depot, but I still have a note that she wrote to me when she returned on a visit. I just couldn't believe it when I read of her death. My prayers go out to the family during this time of sorrow and beyond.

I will never forget the two new girls, Jerri and I, on the first day of our sophomore year at Cumberland Valley. We clicked that day and have remained friends ever since. We had some exciting adventures together and I am deeply saddened by her passing. My condolences to all of the family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My prayers go out to the daughters, parents, and grandchildren of Jerri. I had the privilege of working under Jerri at DDRV. I worked on her management team. She took us all under her wing, and taught us the true meaning of professionalism, values and integrity.

Jerri came to the depot when we were at our lowest. She had a great challenge before her. She accepted the challenge with grace, dignity and her unique style of leadership. She brought this depot back to the point where we could lift our heads and be proud. She was a class act, loved and respected by the entire work force.

It saddens my heart to know that my Manager, Mentor and friend is gone. Never would she be forgotten.

I thank God for allowing this special woman to come into my life and allowing us to create the special bond that we shared. She has made me a better person and has changed my life forever. I will truly miss her.

I first met Cmdr Jerri Taylor while working as a contractor at the depot and was immediately impressed by her winning personality and attention to detail. I don't think there were many days that she didn't stop by the office to see how we were doing and to make sure we had all the support we needed. I saw that same professionalism in her team and that is one of the reasons I kept coming back year after year.

There's a part of Jerri's spirit that will remain at the depot for as long as those of us who knew her and appreciated her service remain.

My prayer for her family is that you know how much we all valued the time spent with her and that our lives are better because our paths crossed.

My prayers and thoughts are with you during this time of grief and sorrow. Jerri was an extraordinary, humorous, caring and loving person and Director (DDRV). She was the BEST... she will be truly missed.

I have such great memories of my time spent as Jerri's secretary. She was so smart and feisty - she never let the men she met Colonels / Generals, etc make her feel like she wasn't just as important as them. She was a sweet kind person and I will genuinely miss her. She spoke to me often of her girls - I know she loved you both and was so proud of you! Be strong - a Mom's love never ends - you'll feel her beside you when you need her. Bless you all as you get through this time.
