James Davis Leftwich, 88, of Pittsboro, NC, formerly of Colonial Heights, VA., passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents Jefferson Davis Leftwich and Sarah Woolridge Leftwich, and his brothers Herman, Preston, and Thomas Leftwich. James is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sue Marshall Leftwich; children Steve Leftwich and Ann Leftwich Stewart and her husband, Charles Thomas Stewart; grandchildren Ben, Jeff, Danny, and Hilary Stewart and his younger brother Warren Leftwich and sister-in-law Dorothy Leftwich. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 18 at the Petersburg chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Son & Cremation Service.
