Condolences

Dear Betsy and Becky: Marge Prescott sent me the obituary notice from the Lake Gaston paper for your Mother. While we had not been in touch for some years, I want you to know how much your Mother's friendship meant to me. We had a great trip to New England with Kay Newsom in Kay's new car, taking turns driving. Of course, we loved to play bridge and enjoyed the hospitality offered by you girls as well as by your Mother. I know she will be greatly missed by one and all of your families. She spoke of you all and loved you dearly. Memories are wonderful to have and I appreciate those shared by your Mother. Sincerely, Martha Nickless

Sorry we have been out of town until this afternoon. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
The Hoffman family has many fond memories of Eloise who was the lake "grandmother" for the boys when they were young. She was especially kind to allow us to watch all those Duke basketball games at her house before we had a TV. She put up with our antics. She will be missed. She was a special person and friend.
The Hoffman family
