Perry, Jr., Minton L.

Minton L. Perry, Jr., passed away Wednesday September 17, 2008 at his residence. He was the son of the late Minton L. Perry, Sr. and Margaret Jones Perry. Mr. Perry was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War. After returning home he later was employed by the Richmond Times Dispatch as a press operator for over 35 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Janice L. Perry, his children; Karen Shields-Priest and husband, Larry of Powhatan, David Perry and wife Leigh Ann of Powhatan, Glen Perry and wife Darlene of Rome, Ga., Dr. Rhonda Freed and husband, Dr. Steve of Milan IL., Mark Mathews of Long Beach Ca., Michael Mathews of Glen Allen, eight grandchildren; Lance & Charles Wyatt Shields-Priest, Melissa & Michelle Perry, James & Rebecca Perry, Brandon & Diana Freed, Niece; Juliet Fidlow, nephews; Hal, Richard, & Benedict Fidlow, sister; Joyce Fidlow of Scotch Plains, NJ. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday September 20, 2008 at Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
