Condolences

This is for cousin Scotty!! You will live forever in our memories. Great guy with a great big heart, always made me feel part of the family with wide open arms on every talk or visit. My heart goes out to all of the Giordano family. I saw Scotty two years ago and spoke with him in July when I missed a trip to VA for another family reunion which I will regret forever (the rest of my family made the trip). His family is so strong and will pull through as he would want them to. We are happy we all made the service and the reception at the marina to be with the family. Miss you always, Scotty!!

Love Chrissy, Danny, Adam & Grace

Remembering Scotty

This poem is simple.
Nothing fancy, nothing haughty.
Much like my cousin Scotty,
Who was also strong and quite a bit scrawny.

A husband
A brother
A son
A cousin
With his quirky little smile
You couldn’t help but love him.

Helpful
Happy
Wouldn’t hurt a fly.
So why would someone so harmless be chosen to die?

They say that God only takes the ones he needs.
And perhaps Scott’s purpose has become much bigger than anyone would believe.

A quiet man, who kept to himself.
Yet would give the shirt off his back
To help someone else.

To those of us who are his kin,
To those of you who hardly knew him;
Scott’s tragic passing is without question unfair.
And the sadness and grief are beyond compare.

But think for a moment…
Take a big breath of air…
And do what Scott would do if he was sitting in your chair.

Remembering Scotty

Love,
Your Cuz,
Cindy

I did not know Scott. I saw it on the news. My heart goes out to all of you. I have prayed so much for God to keep you in his care and help all of you get through this difficult time. I cried watching the news and asking God to watch over anyone who might be in the building. I don't know if I could say anything to comfort you right now. I guess I just wanted all of you to know that there are people out here who are praying for your family and friends of Scott. Lean on God, family, friends and the precious memories of Scott that you have. He will live in your hearts forever.

Scotty has been my best freind since elementary school and we have kept in touch over the years. I will miss his random calls during football season and passing on the hugs and kisses to "Sally" and Ashley. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family.

Martha, Mark, Ben, and Big Vinnie,

I hope you all know without a doubt that all of you and the rest of the Giordano famiy are in my prayers. My heart broke when mom called me the next morning and told me the news. Scott was like a uncle to me and always kept me laughing even when I wasn't in the mood too. I'll never forget all the good times we've had at the river, around the fire pit, or at Christmas parties... or the bigs hugs he would always give me when I saw him. I can say he truly knew how to put a smile on someone's face.
I wish I could have been there for the service.

I love ya'll,
Ashley

It is difficult to find words to express my deep sorrow at the untimely passing of Scotty. I will always remember his smile..and hugs. I last saw Scotty at the luau at Anchor Point. He asked Steve to take a picture of us and made me promise to give him a copy. Ironically, I saw the pictures the morning of the accident and thought of how I needed to get him the copies... I always called Scotty my "90210" guy for he reminded me of Luke Perry from the series.

My deepest condolences are with Martha and the Giordano Family. You have a Guardian Angel to watch over you. He will be deeply missed.

Love to all,
Kim Cole

One of the last times I saw Scott was at a Giordano Family Reunion in North Carolina. He really loved a cd of mine that had made it there from another reunion. This is dedicated to him. "My hands were steady,my eyes were clear and bright. My walk had purpose, My steps were quick and light. And I held firmly to what I felt was right. Like a rock. Like a rock, I was strong as I could be. Like a rock nothing ever got to me. Like a rock I was something to see. Like a rock. "Bob Seeger" Scott will be greatly missed by his family and friends. God Bless You. Uncle Alex and Aunt Arline

It's with deep sympathy and regret. I'm sorry for your misfortune. I lived at Jordan Point on a boat beside Scott and his family for many years, I thought of Scott as my little brother, he'll be missed tremendously. My wife and I had just ran into him at Walmart last week and I asked him to drop by. May God truly be with you all at this time of sorrow. If there's anything I can do let me know.

Giordano Family,

I am so sorry for your loss and the tragedy that your family must be feeling right now. Scotty was a good friend of mine in high school..and I loved him dearly. My heart just broke for your family when I heard the news. Hearing this news made me think of all the good times we had as kids. His laughter, riding around on mopeds, skipping school, goofing off, etc.

Keeping your family in our prayers.

I am very sorry for your loss. My husband, a carpenter, was hurt a little over a year ago in an accident at work. I thought he was gone. When I heard your story on the news I was reminded of the feelings I felt the moment I learned of his accident and I cried for your family. I am so very sorry and your family will be in our prayers.
