I am truly sadden to hear of Christines' passing. To Harold, Elaine, Carrie and Diana and their families, my heart goes out to you during time of pain and loss. Understand that the Lord blessed her in so many ways; with a loving family and wonderful and supportive husband. She raised three gracious daughters and as I can recall had so much love for her stepdaughter, Vicki. She was so very proud of the men her daughters married and she cherished all her grandchildren deeply. She was the epitome of a wife, mother and grandmother. Even with all the love that she had for her family, she still had a special place in her heart for her friends. She never had a cross word to say about anyone.

I can honestly say that Christine helped me mature both as a teenage boy growing up in Hopewell with her daughter, Diana and as a man when I left Hopewell some 26 years ago. She never forgot my birthday and she would always greet me with the biggest hug when I would come and visit. She was always interested in my wife and kids and wanted to know everything that was happening in my life.

I will always hold her memory close to my heart and will smile and say thank you for the true person she was to all who met her.

To Diana, my heart breaks for not checking my answering machine until this morning. I wish I could have seen you all and wished your mom a goodbye one last time. I will call a bit later.

My prayers to you and your family.
Remember, she is looking down on all of us…. smiling.

Harold,
My secretary who lives near Hopewell sent me Christine's obituary. I would come to the visitation tonight but I have pneumonia and better not. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

May God bless and look after you all in your time of need. I attended Hopewell High School with Elaine and you all have a wonderful family. Diana and John are good folks and I am in the Optimist Club with John. Treasure your memories always.
