Timperio, Carl L., Sr.

Carl Louis Timperio, Sr. 82, of Hopewell, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 in McGuires VA Medical Center in Richmond. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio and had been a long time resident of Hopewell. Mr. Timperio was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was a retired U.S. Army M/Sgt. having served during WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Fiorelli Timperio, his wife Eleanor Nichols Timperio, his brothers, Nick, Arthur, Alfred and Tony, his sisters, Bertha and Lena. Mr. Timperio is survived by three daughters, Jacqueline T. Parish and her husband Ben of Panama City, FL, Teresa T. Charvat and her husband Richard of Prince George, Stephanie T. Lewis and her husband Mike of Norfolk, VA, four sons, Danny A. Timperio and his wife Michele of Japan, Carl L. Timperio, Jr. and his wife Kay of Chester, VA, Alfred J. Timperio of Richmond, VA and John A. Timperio of Prince George, VA, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, Josephine T. Slovenec of Cleveland, OH, Marie Urbancic of Mayfield Village, OH, two brothers, Carmen Timperio of Mayfield Village, OH and John Timperio of Cleveland, OH. A Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 4, 2008 in St. James Catholic Church, with visitation to follow until 8:30 P.M. A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held Friday, September 5, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in St. James Catholic Church. We will miss Uncle Cubby's smile, laughter his jokes and we remember him setting off all those fireworks at aunt josephine's house and it used to make her mad but then everyone laughed about it and had a good time with it...Uncle Cubby you were the one who made me see what laughter was all about from the inside and out, I will miss you...
