Smith, Margery A.

Margery Adams Smith, 82, of Petersburg and Richmond died after declining health. Margery was a devoted mother who loved music and the ocean. She was a member at Washington Street UMC in Petersburg and Westhampton UMC in Richmond and was active in the church choir as well as an organist. Margery was preceded in death by her husband, Earl A. Smith, Jr. and grandson, Michael. She is survived by her children, Barbara Stutzman and husband, Dave; David Smith; Steve Smith and wife, Christine; Linda Howell and Steve Howell; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, August 25, 2008 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Burial will be at Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia.
