Jenkins, Joan "Peggy" C.

Joan “Peggy” Constance Jenkins, 77, of Claremont passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late William B. and Mary E. Winn Drigger. She retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco in 1986 after 37 years of employment. Joan is survived by her husband, Millard T. Jenkins, Sr.; children, Millard “Butch” T. Jenkins, Jr., Sandra Grant and husband, Buck and Constance J. Tucker and husband, Louis; grandchildren, Bobby Cox, Kimberly Wilder, Bubba Tucker, Donna Temple, Mike Tucker, Brenda Sadler, Becky Hanshew, Donnie Martin and Thomas Jenkins; 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery.
