Johnston, Terry R.,Sr.Saturday, August 16, 2008
Terry Reed Johnston, Sr., 70, of Chester died Saturday, August 16, 2008 in Chippenham Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Prosser Johnston, and step-mother Selma Johnston. Mr. Johnston was an Ironworker for Suitt Construction for over twenty years. He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Johnston is survived by his four sons, Terry Johnston, Jr. and wife Julia, Dustin Johnston and wife Andrea, Scott Johnston and wife Dia, and Shawn Johnston and wife Janelle; two sisters Patsy Henshaw and husband W.T. and Joyce Yates; one step-sister, Marie Firth; eleven grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and cremation service. A Memorial services will follow at 7:30 in the chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Legion Post 146 Hopewell Memorial 217 E. City Point Rd. Hopewell, VA 23860.
