I remember PW as a very good person and co-worker.
He was always kind and friendly and a good engineer
on top of that! He will be missed!

PW was one of the finest gentlemen who ever climbed into the cab of a locomotive as well as being one of the most generous with his knowledge of railroading. I was lucky to have spent many trips as his fireman on passenger trains between Richmond and Rocky Mount. I'm grateful to have had the privilege of calling him a friend and knowing him as a mentor.
