McLeod, Geneva

Geneva Risden McLeod, 83, of Hopewell, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in Medical College of Virginia Hospital in Richmond. She was born in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ and had been a long time resident of Prince George County. Mrs. McLeod served as a volunteer at John Randolph Medical Center, was a member of Bethel Chapel of Prince George, and had been employed as a registered nurse at John Randolph Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Albert E. and Martha Kitchel Risden and the widow of Rev. Norman B. “Scotty” McLeod. Mrs. McLeod is survived by two sons, Benjamin N. McLeod and his wife Nancy of Reston, VA, Albert L. McLeod of Rome, GA, two grandchildren, Esther and Nelle, eleven great grandchildren and a number of brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends, Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in Rivers Edge Bible Church. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 8, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the church, with Rev. Andy Paul, pastor, assisted by Rev. Wayne Good officiating. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George.
