Bresko, Emmett

Emmett Bresko, 85, of Mechanicsville, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008. He was a World War II veteran and a Systems Technician for C& P Telephone for 37 years. He was a native of Prince George County and a longtime resident of Dinwiddie County, son of the late George Bresko and Annie Rybar Bresko. Emmett was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Anne Katherine Bresko. He was a member of the Kenwood Methodist Church. He is survived by his daughters, Roxanne Potosky and husband, Lee Melvin, Cynthia Blair and husband, Bill; sons, Emmett D. Bresko and wife, Donna and Michael Bresko. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two sisters, Lydia B. White and Ruth Hacklemann. Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 am Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park. Roxanne, I don't know if you remember me from school, but I'm very sorry to have read that you and your family have lossed your Father.I also read you had lossed your Mom.I am truly sorry for your loss. I remember your Mother very well from Dr. Lum's office.May God bless your family and know that he is with you.

Cindy, Bubba, & Mike,
I was so sorry to hear of your recent loss. I remember your Dad as a very kind man with a big heart. I know you all will miss him very much. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the service but I wanted you all to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. My deepest condolences to all of you and your families.

I have fond memories of Uncle Emmett as a gentle and kind person. His temperament resembled that of my mother's (Lydia). I know that your family will miss him dearly. In sympathy, Lynda
