Catherine Funk Pollock, 91, widow of Bernard A. Pollock, of Petersburg, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at her residence. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and retired from accessory department at Thalhimers Department Store. She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia P. Merrix and husband, Donald and Catherine P. Basl and husband, John all of Petersburg. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church or the tri-city SPCA. I was so sorry to read of the passing of Mrs. Pollock. My mother Grace Lynn worked with her in the accessories dept at Thalhimers and was very fond of her. She always told me what a nice lady she was and how much she enjoyed working with her. Cynthia and Don and Catherine and John....was sad to hear of the passing of Aunt Catherine...a very dear sweet lady loved by all our family..Marcia, Marcy, Lenis and Kenny...We remember fondly the many sweet memories we have of her and Uncle Bernie and each of you... over the years.
