Elizabeth Schaaf Dietz, 86, of Chester, formerly of Petersburg, passed away Monday May 26, 2008. Mrs. Dietz, as a WWII widow, immigrated to the United States from Hungary in 1951 with her two older children and her widowed mother. She was predeceased by both of husbands, her parents Jacob & Elizabeth Hartman Schaaf and a son John E. Dietz. She was the loving mother of seven children and attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses faithfully. She is survived by sons; George Mueller & wife Jean of Matoaca, William Mueller & wife Connie of Chester, Robert Dietz, Jr. & wife Terry of Iowa, Garry Dietz & wife Shirlene of Chesterfield, Thomas Dietz & wife Julie of Colonial Heights, Daniel Dietz & wife Angie of Chester, 19 grandchildren , 11 great-grandchildren, and a nephew Andreas Muller his wife Rosie and their family of Dresden, Germany. The family will receive friends Thursday May 29, 6 to 8 PM at J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Petersburg. The funeral service will be held Friday May 30, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Brother Eric Harrison of the Petersburg Kingdom Hall officiating. Interment will be in Bermuda Memorial Park in Enon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 575 Old Wagner Road, Petersburg, Virginia. 23805. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of your mom.I knew your mom well and she was a very kind and respectable lady.She loved her children very much and took very good care of her tenants.She will be sadly missed by all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of your Mom. We did not know Liz but know she must have been a great person as we do know her son, Thomas! He is married to my niece, Julie, and all of us think the world of Thomas.
