Loftis, Marion D.

Marion Davis Loftis 70, of Hopewell, passed away Friday May 23, 2008. She was the daughter of the late John R. & Mattie B. Simpkins Davis. Mrs. Loftis attended the South Hopewell Church of God and was retired from Lucy Corr Village after nine years of faithful service. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years James H. Loftis, sons; James Robert Loftis & wife Janice of Disputanta, Richard Haney Loftis & wife Roberta of Prince George, grandchildren; Jessica, Mandy, Jimmy, Rainey, Tiffany, brothers; Glen Davis & wife Jackie, Roger Davis & wife, Ruth, sisters; Mildred Brown & husband Thomas, Nancy Zehm, Paige Hopkins & husband Kenny, Betty Vesley, Estelle Lifsey, Shirley Foster, Byrd Harris, Katherine Tiller, and Bernice Stallings. The family will receive friends Tuesday May 27, 2008 6:00 to 8:00 PM at J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home Hopewell Chapel where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 Am on Wednesday May 28, 2008. Interment will be in Bermuda Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the South Hopewell Church of God. condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com

I am truly sorry to hear of your loss,I havn't seen James or Marion in many years.I grew up next to the davis family and the last time I saw Marion and James was right after they married.again I am truly sorry.

We are so sorry to hear of Marion's passing. She will be truly missed. She was a great blessing to me when my mother was ill. I do not know what I would have done without her. You & your family are in our thoughts and prayers. If we can be of any help please let us know.
