Dorothea Wassmuth Schmidt, 77, of Dinslaken, Germany, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 as a result of an automobile accident in Cheverly, MD while visiting her sister, Hannelore Miles of Hopewell. She was preceded in death by her parents Johann Heinrich and Elisabeth Dilcher Wassmuth and her husband, Franz Schmidt and other brothers and sisters from Germany. Besides her sister, Hannelore, surviving are her son, Klaus-Dieter Schmidt and his partner Doris Buteweg, a granddaughter, Miriam Schmidt and a brother, Karl Heinz Wassmuth both of Germany, four nieces Inge Willits, and husband, Kim, of CA, Heide Anderson and husband, Frank, of Prince George, Kathryn Holliday and husband, Mike, of AZ, Linda Cohea of CA; four nephews Cecil Wright of, IL, Eddie Miles of Hopewell, Dennis Wright of AZ, Bill Wright of the Saudi Arabia and other nieces and nephews of Germany and the United States. The family will receive friends in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2008 from 6 -8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev.
