Alice Louise Bryant, 74, of Petersburg went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2008 at Henrico Doctors Hospital. She was a native of Petersburg and preceded in death by her father Howard W. Lufsey. She was the widow of James F. Bryant. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Bryant; mother, Edith Lufsey; two brothers, Lewis Lufsey and wife, Diane and Ronnie Lufsey; longtime devoted friend, Donna Cole and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday May 22, 2008 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery. Flowers are acceptable or, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 7065, Richmond, VA 23221-0065, or the American Cancer Society, 1117 Ft. Aunt Donna and Aunt Cindy, I know at a time like this there are few to no words to describe what you are feeling. I can only let you both know that you are in my thoughts and in my prayers. I pray that the Lord takes you and comforts you in your time of grief. I don't think anyone is ever really prepared for such a loss...as the loss of a parent. My heart cries for you both. I love you both very much and want you to take comfort in the fact that she in at peace. I am here if you need anything!!! Lot's of Hugs for comfort, Brenda Dale
