Dobbs, Jean Marie

Jean Marie Field Dobbs, 82, of Hopewell died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in Medical College of Virginia Hospital, Richmond, Va. She was born in Detroit Michigan and had been a long time resident of Hopewell. Mrs. Dobbs was a retired customer service representative for Overnight Transportation Corp. She was the daughter of the late Harry Earl and Alice Hadley Field. Mrs. Dobbs is survived by two sons, John Wesley Dobbs of Sacramento, CA, Samuel Earle Dobbs of Hopewell, two daughters, Neela Jean Sampson of Richmond, VA, Susan Elaine Lowe of Prince George, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a sister, Barbara F. Reisman of Winter Springs, FL. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Appomattox Cemetery, with Derrick Johnson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, Prince George officiating.
