Edith Rollings Vick, 85, a resident of Wakefield and widow of Alf F. Vick, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 in a Sentara Obici Hospital. Born in Manry, VA on April 6, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Herman E. & Ethel Simmons Rollings.
She is survived by a son, Mark O. Vick of Wakefield; a grandson, Mark O. Vick, Jr. and his wife Natasha of Savannah, GA., two sisters, Christine Britton of Franklin, VA, Jean Holland of FL; a brother, Graham Rollings of Richmond; a sister-in-law, Ruby Rollings of Wakefield. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by six brothers, Earl, Godfrey, Robert, Gilbert, Francis, and Marshall Rollings.
She was a member of the Wakefield United Methodist Church and formally a member of Barrett's Congregational Christian Church and Wakefield Congregational Christian Church. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 3:00pm in Wakefield Cemetery by Pastor G.C. Branton. The family will be at Edith’s residence, 217 Savedge Ave, Wakefield. Memorial donations may be made to the Wakefield United Methodist Church (fund of your choice) P.O. Box 87, Wakefield, VA 23888 or any local fire department or rescue squad.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Aunt Edith as being a great women. She was always smiling and happy. My mom (Genola) always said I was alot like her. God bless you and your family. And know I heart is with all of you.

Our Sincere sympathy for the loss of your Mom.I remember meeting and talking with her years ago. I lost touch with her and her whereabouts. May God Bless you and watch over you in the difficult days ahead.
