well my thoughts and prayers go out to colby's family. colby was a awesome kid, and when he would talk to someone who would make the whole room light up. i never met colby, all though we did talk very often on myspace, and i remembr who always used to cheer me up when i was down. i never even thought of something happening like this to him. but like some people said, god has reason's for everything. just know your son was a great kid and was a joy to my life. and put a smile on my face :] and my heart goes out to you. <3 god bless. R.I.P colby crutchfield. i love you<3

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family at this difficult time. My daughter, Caleigh, went to school with Colby at JEJ Moore. I often heard his name mentioned and have seen his picture over and over again since your loss. Although, Colby's life was short, it was evident he touched the lives of many by the number of people who attended his viewing. No parent can begin to imagine the night mare you are living unless they too have experienced it. Colby's unexpected death was tragic for the students at JEJ Moore and for mom's and dad's. I want to personally "Thank You" for taking the time to talk to each person that attended the viewing, especially the children. I know your hugs, words of encouragement, and stern advice from grieving parents made a tremendous impact on everyone. God has a reason for everything and I believe Colby's life was sacrificed to save others from making the same wrong choice. The loss of Colby speaks louder than any words a parent or teacher could ever say when it comes to Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention. My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family.

Words cannot express how truely sorry we are for your loss of a fine son. Lindsay was in the 7th grade with him. She still laughs at things she remembers about him. As she puts it, Colby was her best friend and she will miss him. She has his picture on her phone so she can keep him close. Our prayers are with you always. Just trust in the Lord and He will help you through the pain.

Crutch, Hope, & Family:
Its so hard to live everyday without him. To this day I will never forget him and my brother spending just about the entire summer together and laughing and riding dirtbikes. He was like a brother to me and I will never forget him and the boy that always knew how to be there for me even though I was like a older sister to him. I loved him so much and still trying so hard to help my family with everything that has happened. I love you guys though and please let me know if yall need anything. I cant even imagine the pain that yall could be feeling I know that it is hard for me and I was only like a sister. I love you guys and please let me know of anything that I can do for yall...
I will always be here for yall no matter what!
Love Always,
Afton

colby dalton crutchfield: when i first met you, i thought i was the luckiest girl on earth. you made me feel beautiful and comfortable in my own skin.i'm so sorry about the way i treated you, the way we treated eachother.sometimes i think about being able to travel through time and start things over, and maybe what happened, wouldn't have.it kills me inside knowing that i only got to meet you half way.if only i could see you smile one more time, and rap your arms around me tight and never let go. there are so many words left unsaid, that i'd love to tell you. i loved you from the moment we met. you were one of the few people i truely cared about, and still are. i would think about you everynight, imagining us being together, forever.but we never got the chance, and it sucks. when i finally get to see your beautiful blue eyes meet mine, that will be the happiest moment of my life.i love to picture you walking to heaven, and stopping at the gates and waiting so we can walk through together. i don't see the point of living life anymore, because your not here in it. it's crazy but i am hoping that soon something will happen to me, so that i can be in heaven, with you. i will never regret you, no matter what, and i'm hoping you won't regret me. you will always be number one in my heart. noone will ever take your place. i love you.
