Batten, Billy A.Monday, April 21, 2008
Billy Allen Batten, age 50, of Petersburg, VA, died on Friday, April 18, 2008. He was born on May 29, 1957, the son of the late Earl R. Batten, Sr. Mr. Batten spent most of his working career in the tree trimming industry, clearing off major power lines and roads. He is survived by his daughter, Amber M. Batten; mother, Endia Spagnoulo; brothers, Earl and Eddie Batten; sister, Barbara Hinchey; uncles, Eugene Batten and Carl Hinchey; aunts, Wanda Lucas and Linda Dorsey; nephews, Stephen and Jeffrey Batten; and several other family and friends. Graveside funeral services and interment of Mr. Battens cremains will take place in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are being conducted by the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home of Petersburg. Contributions on Mr. Battens behalf are being accepted by the family to help with final expenses.
