Ramey, Nedra B.

Nedra Birdsong Ramey, 73, of Chester, passed away April 16, 2008 at Medical College of Virginia. She was a native of Chesterfield County and the daughter of the late Wilton Harvey and Verena Phillips Birdsong. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Verena Lavinia Ramey; half-sister, Virginia Lee Birdsong Harris; and a half-brother, Donald Laurens Birdsong. Mrs. Ramey was an active member of Harrowgate Baptist Church and co-owner of Ramey’s Interior Decorators and Lawn Mower Repair. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, William H. Ramey of Chester; a daughter, Janae Ramey of Chester; one brother, Wilton Birdsong of Richmond; two sisters, Marie B. Hawkins of Ettrick and Justine B. Potts of Dinwiddie. Graveside services were private in Blandford Cemetery. The family was served by the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
